Sportsmanship/COVID-19 Pregame Announcement

This contest is being played according to the rules of the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association. Remember that all fans must wear facial coverings at all times while onsite except children under age 2. And all fans must maintain a social distance of six feet, or the equivalent of two empty seats between themselves and other fans from anyone other than those living in the same household.

TSSAA rules provide for fair competition among players. Our athletes recognize that judgment calls are made in good faith and that they must abide by the decisions of the official. Spectators are important in this process, too. Fans can help promote good sportsmanship by observing the rules of fair play. Each fan is requested to take personal responsibility for keeping this game at a high level of sportsmanship. Spectators can support their high school by refraining from derogatory remarks or cheers. Good sportsmanship is one of the primary purposes of the high school athletics. The TSSAA hopes you will enjoy this contest and support your athletes and your high school in a positive and sportsmanlike manner.
